Mr. David is the non-Executive Chairman and former President of H&Q Philippines, Inc., which manages three country funds. He is currently Chairman and Managing Partner of Hupomone Capital Partners (Singapore), a private equity fund manager in Singapore for investment into China centric companies. Mr. David previously served H&Q Asia Pacific Ltd. in various capacities as a member of the Executive, Investment and Compensation Committees and as Regional Managing Director for ASEAN, and Administrative Managing Director based in Palo Alto, California. Mr. David has invested and served as Director and/or Executive Committee member in a number of mostly private companies in the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, India and the United States.

Prior to joining H&Q Asia Pacific in 1987, Mr. David served as Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of the Philippine American Life Insurance Company (American International Group). He served as Vice President, Treasurer and CFO of First Philippine Holdings Corporation, a diversified listed holding company. He started his career as Finance Manager, and later as VP of Finance and Administration for MCCI Corporation, an electro-metallurgical company.

Mr. David received his Master in Business Management, with distinction, from the Asian Institute of Management and his Bachelor of Arts in Economics (honors program), from the Ateneo de Manila University. He is a Board Director of the Philippine Stock Exchange and the Advisory Board, the John Gokongwei School of Management of the Ateneo de Manila University, and the East Asian Pastoral Institute. He was Trustee of the Ateneo de Manila University and the Asian Institute of Management, and a former Director of the Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines.

Augusto L. de Leon

Mr. de Leon is currently President and Principal Consultant of De Leon Consulting, a private management consulting group. The firm provides strategic management consulting services to selected Top 1000 Philippine Corporations with specific expertise in the food industry, local and multinational companies including venture capital firm H&Q Philippines, as well as various entrepreneurs, non-profit organizations, and international funding agencies.

Mr. de Leon has extensive consultancies which include the Asian Development Bank, Chemonics, Development Alternatives Inc. (DAI) and Pragma for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). He is also provides consultancy expertise to one of the largest Philippine flour milling companies, a large Philippine bake shop with several international operating units, several food processing and food manufacturing companies, a number of major plastic packaging companies, a Japanese investment and securities firm, the National Security Council (Office of the President - Republic of the Philippines), University of Asia and the Pacific (formerly Center for Research and Communications), the Department of Science and Technology of the Food and Nutrition Institute (FNRI), and the Development Academy of the Philippines. While most of his engagements are in the Philippines, his consulting practice extends to Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand.

Up to 1990, Mr. de Leon was associated with Republic Flour Mills (RFM Corporation), then one of the top 20 Philippine corporations, where he last served as President, Vice-Chairman and Director. He has held several senior management positions in affiliated companies, most notably at Marina Properties Corporation where he presided over planning and execution of the 173-hectare real estate property development in Metro Manila.

Mr. de Leon earned both his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and his Masters in Industrial Management at the University of the Philippines.

Rafael V. de Guzman
Executive Director

Mr. de Guzman has been associated with the Unilab Group from 1979 up to 2009. He was Senior Vice President and Senior Executive Officer, Office of the Chairman of the Board, United Laboratories, Inc. Mr. de Guzman was a member of the Executive and Management Committees where he was involved with senior policy and strategic initiatives including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and international negotiations on licensing agreements with European, American and Japanese companies.

During his tenure with the Unilab Group, Mr. de Guzman has been involved in a number of strategic transactions, most notable of which are the acquisition of a leading pharmaceutical company in Indonesia, the acquisition of Fort Bonifacio Global City from the First Pacific Group via a 50-50 joint venture between the Ayala and Campos Groups, the acquisition of UFC Corporation to consolidate the banana catsup lines and food condiments businesses under one dominant conglomerate, and concluding negotiations for joint ventures in the Philippines with a US-based company and a major distribution company based in Switzerland.

Prior to joining the Unilab Group, Mr. de Guzman worked with the Philippine office of Citibank, N.A. in various capacities, most notable of which are as Unit Head of the National Banking Group, Division Head of Financial Planning and Management, Resident Agent of Citibank Overseas Investment Corp., Deputy Group Head of Treasury, and Deputy Group Head of the Credit Supervision Group.

Mr. de Guzman has been a member of the Board of Directors in a number of companies involved in real estate and nutritional and food condiments. He was a founding director and board member of the Asian Hospital and Medical Center, and was on the board of H&Q Philippine Ventures I, Inc. and H&Q Philippine Ventures III, Inc.

Elected to Life Membership in the Pi Gamma Mu and Phi Kappa Phi International Honor Societies, Mr. de Guzman obtained his Master of Public Administration and Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration degrees from the University of the Philippines. He also holds an MBA from the Asian Institute of Management and completed the Strategic Business Economics Program (SBEP) at the University of Asia and the Pacific. He is a Life Member of the international Eastern Regional Organization for Public Administration (EROPA) and the Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines (FINEX).

Paulino B. Reyes
Executive Director

Mr. Reyes’ expertise is in the food and financial services sectors. Until recently, he was advisor on strategic, financial and legal matters to a major business group involved in food, garments and properties. Currently, he is a member of the Investment Committee of the Aureos South East Asia Fund. He also serves as an Independent Director in the Board of a Philippine bank and a large domestic coffee shop chain.

Mr. Reyes’ resume includes his appointments as Senior Vice President for Planters Development Bank and, concurrently, president of PDB Leasing Corp., a joint venture among Planters Development Bank, Asian Development Bank, Korea Development Leasing Corporation and Korea Long Term Credit Bank. Prior to these positions,, he was the Country Manager for The First National Bank of Chicago – Manila Offshore Branch. In First Chicago, he arranged US-government trade credits for the Philippines to finance the country’s imports during the foreign currency crisis in the mid-eighties. He was also involved in structuring and executing among the first debt/equity swaps in the country.

Mr. Reyes received his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He completed his undergraduate studies with an AB Economics degree (Honors Program) from the Ateneo de Manila University.

Felix K. Limcaoco, III
Executive Director

Felix Limcaoco holds several executive and board positions in the Lica Group, a family-controlled diversified business group in the Philippines involved principally in real estate and hospitality, automotive, banking, and information technology.

Mr. Limcaoco joined H&Q in 1990 as Senior Investment Manager, and until 2001 served as Senior Vice President and General Manager at H&Q Philippines venture capital firm. He was responsible for H&Q’s Philippine investment activities and active in driving its ASEAN, US and Philippine cross border deals. Mr. Limcaoco spearheaded H&Q’s investment in the US$191 million cash takeover initiative as one of two investors of global IT services firm James Martin & Co. (now renamed Headstrong Corp.), one of the largest such investments at that time. He was an active resource speaker at various investment conferences in the region, and represented H&Q’s corporate directorships on the Boards of several US and Philippine companies, both public and private.

Prior to joining H&Q, Mr. Limcaoco was the Manager of Stanford University’s Academic Data Service (1987-1990) and a core member of Stanford’s Program for Unix Development and Support. He taught a Masters-level class in Interactive Computer Graphics at the Ateneo de Manila University Graduate School. Prior to this, Mr. Limcaoco was employed by GTE Communication Systems in Phoenix, AZ, a developer of large-scale telephony software development (1984-1986).

Mr. Limcaoco earned a BA in Applied Mathematics from the University of California at Berkeley (1984), and an MS in Computer Science from Stanford University (1988). He is a member of UC Berkeley’s Honor Students’ Society.

Rayfiel Victor M. de Guzman
Director

Mr. de Guzman was Senior Manager and Executive Assistant to the Chief Finance Officer at ePLDT, Inc., the holding company for Internet and Communications Technology (ICT) investments of the PLDT Group. Mr. de Guzman was in-charge of Corporate Finance where he was responsible for raising debt and equity for ePLDT group companies, and has led due diligence teams for ePLDT’s acquisitions. His other responsibilities included financial and operations review of the group’s various subsidiaries.

He concurrently served as the Senior Business Manager of Cube Interactive, the mobile content development division of ePLDT. Cube Interactive produced mobile phone applications and content, including mobile games, operator logos and ring tones, interactive TV applications and online portals. Mr. de Guzman was involved in strategy and product planning and was responsible for business development.

Prior to joining the PLDT Group, Mr. de Guzman worked with Far East Bank and Trust Company initially as a Credit Analyst with Corporate Banking, and eventually as a Senior Investment Analyst with the bank’s trust division.

Mr. de Guzman received his Master in Business Management, with distinction, from the Asian Institute of Management and his Bachelor of Science in Management from Ateneo de Manila University.

Jose Paolo B. David
Director

Mr. David is Managing Director and Founder of Ideo Studios, a creative agency that specializes in traditional and digital media. Ideo serves multinational clients such as Unilever, Ford, BMW, and Del Monte as well as local conglomerates such as Rockwell Land, Ayala Group, Nutri-Asia, RFM, and ePLDT.

He has served as Investment Professional for H&Q Philippines, General Manager for Math Coach, and Consultant for Signium International, one of the world’s top 20 executive search firms, to establish the People’s Republic of China country office.

Prior to these roles, Mr. David was Assistant Vice President; Marketing and Sales for Ford Group Philippines. Mr. David was responsible for the Philippines product and pricing strategy and portfolio management for Ford and Mazda brands, which covered 12 vehicle lines. In addition to his local responsibilities, Mr. David headed the Ford ASEAN Marketing and Sales team that developed and executed new product marketing initiatives for the ASEAN Region. He was also part of the core team that developed future products for Ford Asia Pacific, working in Business Planning and Product Development at Ford World Headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan.

Mr. David received his MBA with honors from Fordham University, GSBA and was the recipient of the 2005 BiMBA Award (class valedictorian) at Beijing International MBA, at Peking University. He is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma international honor society for business students. Mr. David studied Mandarin at Peking University and received his Bachelor of Arts from the Ateneo de Manila University.

Marie Therese G. Santos
Director

Ms. Santos is Director of Gravitas Prime, and is concurrently head of Administration. She is responsible for general administrative and human resource functions of the company.

Prior to joining Gravitas Prime, Ms. Santos was Vice President for Finance of MUSIC Corporation, multinational electronics design company publicly listed in the Philippines. As CFO, she was in charge of all matters pertaining to finance for the parent company in the Philippines as well as for the offshore subsidiaries in the US and in the Netherlands. Ms. Santos is currently an Independent Director of MUSIC, and is chair of the Audit Committee.

Ms. Santos has had consulting assignments in various corporations in manufacturing and retail sector, specializing in systems and procedures in the Accounting and Finance functions. Ms. Santos also worked with a number of concerns, including United Development Corporation, a holding company invested in diverse interests, where she was Group Comptroller. She began her career in finance with Private Development Corporation of the Philippines ( PDCP) where she started as Project Analyst in the Project Management Group.

Ms. Santos sits as Independent Director of First Abacus Holdings, Inc.

Ms. Santos completed her MBA, major in Finance, as well as her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of the Philippines. She is a licensed Chemical Engineer.

Francis G. Horn
Associate Director

Mr. Horn is currently Team Leader for a retail food company project in Gravitas Prime and a Director in a retail nutritional marketing company. He is also acting as Financial Consultant for a recruitment and training company.

Mr. Horn’s prior experience includes a stint as director of corporate finance in a local investment house, senior vice president in H&Q Philippines,Inc. helping to raise capital for H&Q First Philippine Venture Fund, Executive Vice President in Computer Software and Services Inc. setting up office in Hong Kong and Taipei for marketing of systems software products. He also held various executive and management positions in companies like Exxon Chemical Corp., Shoe Mart, Inc, Citicorp Investment Philippines and Citibank, N.A.

Mr Horn has an MBA from the Wharton Graduate School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the De La Salle College.
